Who Are We?
Our objectives are to promote the Association locally and foster a strong membership giving friendship, help and support.
We are an integral part of The Royal Air Forces Association that is a forward looking organisation with 100,000 members worldwide, made up of serving & ex-serving members of British and Commonwealth Air Forces and people from all walks of life who share our principles.
So what are we all about?
Well, In a few short words:
To preserve and honour the memory of all those who died whilst serving in Her Majesty’s Air Forces.
To provide welfare, support and facilities, when called upon, for ex-serving & serving members of our Air Forces and their dependants.
This is achieved by charitable means, from donations from public & organisations and fund raising events for our dedicated charity, RAFA Wings Appeal, by the members. (through raffles, auctions, dances, etc)
If you miss the comradeship of your service days, like playing Bowls or just looking for friendship, come and meet like minded types in the comfort of Branch 381 Club and Bar in Waterloo Square (opposite the Pier). You and your friends are sure to receive a warm welcome.
The same applies if you have not served in the Royal Air Force, as membership is open to you too and you will be equally welcome.
Where are we?
Prestigiously located in the Waterloo Square Conservation Area in Bognor Regis, with a first-floor balcony overlooking the gardens, bowling greens, mini golf course, the Pier and the sea. A spacious bar area is available on the first floor, serving a full range of beers, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Snacks are normally available daily, sandwiches and bar meals are available Friday and weekends and roasts on Sunday (Check with the bar staff for availability on the day). Disabled access is via a lift from the ground floor.
Apart from its use for regular entertainment on Saturday nights, the Function Room is available for members to hire for parties and social functions at other times. Catering is available.
A dedicated Snooker Room will be found on the ground floor, as well as a room available to members for meetings or talks.
