Bognor Regis 381 Branch & Branch Club host the South Downs Folk Festival 2019

Each September finds the town of Bognor Regis, West Sussex, hosting the South Downs Folk Festival and, this September 2019, finds the festival expanding with the town’s Alexandra Theatre, the 381 Bognor Regis Branch and Branch Club and various music venues around town, opening their doors to major folk artists (see attached).  381 Bognor Regis Branch and Branch Club will be hosting many acts during the 4 day event and the Branch’s Choir, Skiffle Band and Ukelele Group will be playing at different venues throughout the town highlighting what the RAF Association are all about.  The Branch and Branch Club, located on the sea-front in this coastal town, will find its doors opening from 10am through until 11pm for three days from  Friday 20th through to Sunday 22nd to enable members, their guests and guests to the town experience the ambience, warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and hospitality the Branch offer – and enable them to try some real ale from the Branch Club’s well-stocked bar too.  So, if you are intending to have a weekend away in the South this September why not consider Bognor Regis and the Folk Festival and make the most of the facilities our Branch and Branch Club have to offer.  More details on our website: https://southdownsfolkfest.co.uk/

Quiz Night (8.30 pm)

Wed 4th Reading Group (11.30 am for 11.45 am start):  ‘Bel Canto’ by Ann Patchett. The setting is an unnamed South American country; a group of terrorists disrupt a birthday party held in honour of a visiting Japanese industrialist.  Russian, Italian and French are among the hostages. This is, apparently, a fiction based loosely on the events in 1995 when the President of Peru, and many of his guests, were taken hostage and held for months.
